I’ll be the first to admit that I am not much of a makeup wearer. And I’m not always eager to have pro hair and makeup done. But as I’ve worked with my stylists and seen the results first-hand, I’ve realized it’s a great tool for professional headshots.
Did you catch what I said there? Professional styling is a tool.
I like to think of makeup as an enhancer, not an eraser. When applied properly, it enhances your natural beauty and creates a polished look. I don’t want you to like your photos because you have your hair and makeup done. I want you to like your photos because they show you in the best light.
Authenticity is a cornerstone of my business, so my goal is always to make your photos look like you. I always come back to the idea that we’re “polishing” you up.
While the image you share to promote your business might not look like the version of you running errands, you can rest assured that it will still look like YOU! I work with several licensed professionals in the Sherwood, Oregon, area who are amazing at their craft. So, whether you prefer a natural or light glam look, our stylists partner with you to find the perfect balance.
We offer more than just professional hair and makeup for women. We also offer men’s grooming services for an elevated look.
I get to know your personality and styling preferences in the planning phase. We discuss how you usually style your hair, the level of makeup you typically wear, and how we can elevate your natural beauty in a way that feels comfortable.
From here, our stylists customize your look in these areas:
- Personal style: Everything begins with your style and preferences. Your stylist will ask about your comfort levels with makeup application and hairstyle and tailor accordingly. They ask for feedback as they move along to make sure you’re satisfied and feel confident about your look.
- Skin tone. Our stylists are well-versed and trained in color theory to help determine the right makeup shades to complement your skin tone.
- Face Shape. They analyze your face shapes and plan the best ways to highlight your cheekbones, jawlines, and other features you love.
- Eye color and shape. While I’m not an expert in this area, my stylists know how to use different colors and makeup techniques to make your eyes bright and pop!
